There is no crystal I recommend more often than black tourmaline, as a grounding powerhouse and an energetic cleanser and purifier. It is awesome for grounding, for protecting the Electro-Magnetic Field (EMF), for transmuting negative energy into neutral energy. Sometimes called Schorl, black tourmaline has Moh's hardness of 7-7.5.
